Open entry to all applicants without a level 2 qualification. No age restrictions.

This programme is a great introduction for anyone who wants to explore their creative talent and begin formal qualifications towards a career in design. Students study a range of subjects including drawing, design thinking and critical thinking, graphic design and computer graphics or fashion design.

Youth Guarantee - Open entry to all applicants without a level 2 qualification under the age of 20

This level 2 programme is for creative students who need an extension beyond the Secondary School Curriculum or are looking for an alternative to School. Students gain a knowledge in the Adobe software and develop on graphic design, design thinking and computer graphics.

BRIDGING GRAPHIC OR FASHION DESIGN

LEVEL 3 & 4

Demonstration of creative ability and suitable level of literacy and numeracy..

The level 3 and 4 programme is designed for those who want to gain a broad range of creative skills. This course is for creative students who would like to focus on design fulltime as an alternative to NCEA Level 3. At the end of the course they will have a portfolio to either futher their study or get straight into the industry.

This can add to their portfolio and strengthen their future options.Students also have the opportunity to display and sell their work in The Design School Gallery. This is an opportunity for current students and graduates to showcase their creativity and launch their design careers.
